Raw to Ride

Raw To Ride is a collection I designed for G-Star inspired by the Mid-Night Club in Tokyo in the late 80s. The club was highly elite with hidden messages in the paper about meetings and a hefty fee to join. The races souped up engines to race faster than police cars at the time so to this day, we are unaware of the names of any members. The club split at the start of the 90s as someone was injured because of an altercation with a rival motorcycle gang. The Mid-Night Club valued safety above all and was only in it for the thrill of the ride.

This collection is inspired by the Mid-Night Club in Tokyo from the late 80s.

The Mid-Night Club goes hand in hand with G-Stars hardcore denim style.

I was inspired by car interiors, street signs, and the lines on a road.

The sketchbook had car oil spilled on it to further inspire silhouettes.
